About Us

Experienced, practical and welfare led.

After growing up on a Yorkshire farm, Charlie worked as a farm animal Vet in Cheshire for 25 years and set up the first Farm Animal Only practice in the UK. After selling the practice, he moved back into farming with his wife Yolanda. For almost a decade now they have concentrated on breeding a successful herd of high quality black alpacas; learning every single day about their quirks, peculiarities and behaviour.

Together they have been providing herd health visits and second opinion vet work for alpaca owners across the North of England for the last few years and are closely involved with the local Veterinary University introducing Camelid Medicine to the student syllabus providing both lectures and on- farm practical teaching. They work closely with new owners, established breeders and Veterinary colleagues to raise standards across alpaca care in the UK.
